2. Introducing the Command
- Say the Command: Start by saying your dog’s name followed by “Come” in a clear, upbeat tone. Avoid repeating the command; say it once to teach your dog to respond promptly.
- Encourage Movement Towards You: Gently tug the leash or wave the treat/toy to encourage your dog to come towards you.
- Reward Promptly: As soon as your dog starts moving towards you, praise them enthusiastically. Give them the treat or play with the toy immediately when they reach you.
